A child's name is inscribed in this first Book of the Jewish life cycle and includes the birth, circumcision, a birthday or the beginning of school. A tree is planted in the child's name and he or she receives a certificate which serves as a lifelong reminder of the child's initial and direct personal connection with Israel.
