Our celebrations at our Tu B’Shvat Family Market Day held on Sunday, 1 February, was a vibrant community gathering, featuring a wide variety of vendors, jumping castles, bungee jumping, carousels, and activities for all ages. Families came together to enjoy a fun-filled day while celebrating Tu B’Shvat, the trees, and our natural environment. The atmosphere reflected the spirit of the day, joyful, inclusive, and grounded in appreciation for the land and all it provides.

It was a successful day with a real sense of community and togetherness — it was so special to see everyone enjoying themselves. The children had a lot of fun with the entertainment, and the Pesadik Brewsky coffee cart was a big hit!
On Monday 10th August 2026 the JNFSA and UJW hosted a wonderful Women's Day evening of inspiration, connection and delicious food.

We were pleased to partner with the SAZF, Israel Centre and the Base, in bringing the guest speakers Ayelet Samerano and Mishel Iluz to South Africa for Yom HaZikaron. They shared their traumas and tragedies since losing their sons on October 7th 2023. Both Guy Iluz and Yonatan Samerano were at the Nova festival before being taken as hostages into Gaza. Their parents waited 57 days before hearing anything about their sons' whereabouts.

We were honoured to support Elphin Lodge with their first Yom Ha'Atzmaut celebrations this week. We provided a video presentation from KKL Rabbi Gideon Shloush as well as some Israeli decorations.
On April 23, 2026, Naama Noyman visited the Afrika Tikkun Arekopang Community Centre in Orange Farm, sharing her story with youth interested in Cycalive.
The JNFSA together with the Israel Centre and Capri Wheelers hosted an event with Naama Noyman at Arch Cycles Linksfield. Naama shared her journey from the Gaza Envelope to the Olympics.
