For over 70 years KKL-JNF and its friends worldwide memorialize the victims and honors the survivors of the Holocaust through meaningful projects in Israel. This Friday marks 78 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, and the day the world commemorates the International Holocaust Remembrance Day (January 27). KKL-JNF creates unique memorial sites and educational programs to ensure the Shoah is never forgotten. The KKL-JNF Forest of the Martyrs, dedicated to the six million, is an eternal monument in the Land of Israel.
In the summer of 2021, a devastating wildfire consumed over 600 hectares of the Martyrs Forest.
