Give a Meaningful Gift this Rosh Hashana!
Give a meaningful and lasting gift by purchasing a Rosh Hashanah certificate and help us restore the Jerusalem Hills. The fire that broke out near Beit Meir in the Jerusalem Hills caused by the hot weather and strong winds made the fire spread quickly, threatening other nearby towns as well. The fire consumed thousands of acres of KKL-JNF forests and natural woodland and a major Israel Parks and Nature Authority reserve, causing great ecological damage to local flora and faun

The Great Jewish Escape - Webinar
From the end of World War II until Israel's established, the ''Bricha'' movement operated clandestinely in Europe to smuggle some 300,000 Holocaust survivors to freedom. On the 24th of August, the JNF-SA hosted a webinar where we explored this incredible and largely untold story of Jewish ingenuity, resilience and redemption. To commmorate this great Jewish Escape, JNF South Africa in partnership with Keren Kayemet LeIsrael has established the Bricha Trail in one of Israel’s

Hikes
The JNF have been giving educational guided hikes of areas in Johannesburg. These hikes are part of the KKL-JNF’s promotion of the environment in South Africa and in Israel. Our most recent hike was one given on Linksfield Ridge. One of the positive aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic is that it has given us the impetus to take part in new and exciting discoveries. Hikes such as these emphasize the amazing sites on our doorstep. Joni Kowensky has given guided tours of the area.
